Columbia Wetlands Adventure
Guided Float Tour

We offer more than just a river trip. With Columbia Wetlands Adventure you can take a relaxed look at nature and encounter spectacular natural scenery on this unique wetlands ecosystem tour.

Your Columbia wetlands experience begins the moment you step into our office and see the panoramic views of the Rocky and Purcell mountains. We transport you to our private parking area in the lush woods on the edge of the Columbia River.

Follow the boardwalk trail through an expanse of sedge and cattails for your first taste of the wonder of the wetlands. Hear the splash of a beaver or the piercing cry of an osprey hunting. Cross the suspension bridge to our picturesque dock where you easily step aboard our luxurious cataraft to begin the float tour.

“The Kingfisher” is our comfortable, 10-person luxury cataraft complete with comfortable swivel bucket seats to allow 360 degree wildlife viewing and bird watching. It has a solid, slip resistant floor making it easy to board and disembark from. Our quiet electric motor allows our guests to hear the sounds of the birds and wildlife filling the wetlands. Your knowledgeable, experienced guide will engage you with the history and ecology of the river.

The guided float tour is accessible for all nature lovers including seniors and those with limited mobility. It is family friendly and a great chance to meet other explorers on this memorable wilderness adventure.

This is an ideal day trip to add to your exploration of the Rockies and Banff and Lake Louise area.
